Starting from December 6, 2024, Australia will officially implement the National Innovation Visa (Subclass 858 – Direct Permanent Residency Visa), replacing the Global Talent Visa. Broad Target Audience: Open to global researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators.
No Age or Occupation Restrictions: Offers equal opportunities to talents from all fields.
Invitation-Based Process (EOI): Applicants must receive an invitation from the Minister for Home Affairs before applying.
Annual Quota: 4,000 places allocated for the 2024–2025 financial year, ending on June 30, 2025.
Official Invitation: Only those who receive an invitation from the Department of Home Affairs can apply.
Specific Requirements: The Expression of Interest (EOI) must meet all conditions outlined in the invitation.
Outstanding Achievements: Applicants must demonstrate exceptional abilities relevant to the content of the invitation.

Applications Lodged Before December 6, 2024: These will be processed under the previous regulations in effect at the time of application.
